IRI AND BOOTS STRENGTHEN PARTNERSHIP

Boots named account data is released for the first time and is available now from IRI
Bracknell, UK, February 22, 2007 — Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) today announced the release of Boots named account data. Data is available for selected categories and will give suppliers the chance to work in partnership with Boots.

Named account data provides manufacturers with access to powerful key performance indicators on own, competitor and Boots own label products. With a clearer view of the market manufacturing suppliers can maximise product performance and profitability, and strengthen their relationship with Boots.

“Boots has supplied data to IRI since 1993 and I’m delighted that the relationship has been extended with the release of named account data,” said Kirsty Harris-Clarke, Account Director, IRI. “Boots private label and exclusive products account for 35% of total Boots sales. This is a fantastic opportunity for manufacturing suppliers to increase their own product sales and at the same time add value to the Boots business.”

Named account data is used to track new product launches and promotions. Manufactures will be able to improve sales, remove slow moving lines, identify out-of-stock situations and gain valuable insight into the Boots store.

Named account data is being offered as part of an initial trial. If the trial is successful a full category release is expected. Data will be available to IRI clients via web based named account data portal, SalesWeb.

This trial is specific to the following named Boots defined categories only.

Baby Foods: baby milks, baby wet foods, baby dry foods, rusks, baby drinks, toddler foods, chilled baby foods
Bath & Shower: soap & shower, bath additives, shower, handwash, talcs

Dental: toothpaste, mouthfresh, dentures, toothbrushes & accessories, dental accessories

Feminine Care: towels, tampons, liners, feminine hygiene

Deodorants: deodorants, body sprays

Baby Changing: disposable nappies, changing accessories, nappy vending, baby toiletries

Baby Skincare: cotton wool, wipes, baby dental
