IRI has launched a new out of stocks service just in time for the Christmas trading period
It provides EPoS based, store level alerts for identifying and targeting instances of out of stocks for your products.
Out of stock alerts provides users with reports by email each week, detailing stores which record zero sales for a defined set of SKU's in the latest trading week. Please note, stores must have sold at least 10 units for the prior week to be considered out of stock.
To avoid having to sift through reams of data the service works by exception, only providing details of problem products in problem stores.
Benefits of the service include
- Identify the extent of the problem of weekly out of stocks
- Close the gap on the last few distribution points for top performing SKU’s
- Target field sales to problem stores
- Identify repeat offenders
- Ensure your products are in store for key periods of activity
As soon as IRI receives the EPoS tapes from the retailers the data is processed and sent directly to the end user. This can be as quick as Monday morning, alerting suppliers to the instances of potential out of stocks for each product, in each store across the retailer estate for the previous week.
The service is initially available for a 12-week period after which an annual service can be subscribed to.
Retailers available include Tesco, Sainsbury, Somerfield, Kwik Save, and Co-op, with prices starting from as little as £3K for the first 12-weeks.
